Stephen Varanko III had been involved in organizational leadership in high school. Known as Steve, he is an alumnus of the Randolph Macon Academy, where he made both the dean’s and president’s list. Graduating in 2000, he finished 12th in class rankings with a cumulative grade point average of 3.4.
He would attend college the following year and receive training in various other fields. He received a certificate of completion from the Community Emergency Response Team Program in 2003. He graduated with a degree in history in 2005 and is certified as an emergency medical technician.
Besides his academic achievements, he had also participated in several extracurricular activities at the time, frequently taking a leadership role among his peers. Most noteworthy among them was his term as president of both the student government and the honor council.
A few other leadership roles of note include his stint as student agent of the alumni association and his position as team leader for both the school’s Awareness Presentation Team and Habitat for Humanity. He also had the honor and privilege to represent his school at events like the Virginia Leadership Conference.
He also served as the commencement marshal in his graduating year.
Stephen Varanko III is fond of sports. He played for his school’s lacrosse, basketball, and cross-country varsity teams and would later serve as captain in his junior and senior years. He and his teammates have behind them a slew of accolades for their performance in various inter-school competitions.
He currently resides in Baldwin, MD.
